A Note From The Chancellor

Ed 1

I am very thankful and excited for your interest in The ROCK Church School of Ministry. My heart and vision for The ROCK Church School of Ministry is to educationally and spiritually develop men and women of God to enable them to fulfill their call to ministry within the local church and other areas as God directs. Investing the Word of God into the hearts of men and women is God’s desire.

The ROCK Church School of Ministry is dedicated to worldwide transformation through spiritual revival. We are training and equipping the Body of Christ to bring the love of God and the power of the Holy Spirit into the darkest places of the planet.

In order to experience success, each Christian must continually meditate upon the Word of God. We humbly submit ourselves to the service of education in the Word and pray for the success of each and every student. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

In His Service,

Edward H. Barger

We Believe

The ROCK Church School of Ministry believes in one true God who is the creator and sustainer of all things. A God that is perfectly holy, just, loving, and truthful. A God that reveals Himself to be eternally self-existent, one being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Mission Statement

The mission of The ROCK Church School of Ministry is to offer a detailed, comprehensive curriculum specifically designed to equip you with the spiritual truths and scriptural foundation that is needed to be an overcoming, victorious Christian. To teach Christians worldwide who they are in Christ Jesus and how to walk in their covenant rights and privileges. The fulfillment of this mission takes place when those believers become rooted and grounded enough in God’s Word to reach out and teach others these same principles.

Statement of Faith

That the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired, infallible, revealing, and trustworthy Word of the Living God. The Bible is the final authority for all matters about which it speaks.

The Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is God’s Anointed One, empowered by the Holy Spirit to inaugurate God’s Kingdom on earth. That Jesus is perfect deity and perfect humanity. That Jesus led a sinless life. That Jesus performed miracles throughout his earthly ministry, and that through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, He performs them through His believers on earth today. That He was crucified for our sins, died, buried, resurrected, and ascended into heaven, and is now alive today in the presence of God the Father and in His people. That He is returning in power and glory to take His body of Believers (The Church) in the Great Catching Away (The Rapture). That He will establish His Millennial Reign.

We are saved by God’s grace, through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. By believing in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and confessing that Jesus Christ is Lord with the mouth, will result in man’s salvation. Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God through repenting, believing, and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord. The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates (which is absolutely essential for the new birth), justifies, and adopts us as we enter the Kingdom of God.

That the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ and His bodily resurrection provides the only grounds for justification, forgiveness, and salvation for all who believe, and only those who trust in Him alone and are born of the Holy Spirit will spend eternity with Christ.

Humankind was created in the image and likeness of God to know and enjoy Him, yet we willfully rejected the Lordship and glory of God for which we were intended. Because of this, sickness, death, and judgment entered the world.

The victorious redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides freedom from the power of the enemy – sin, sickness, disease, and torment.

In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian, is enabled to live holy and to minister super-naturally. The baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 1:4-8 and 2:4 is poured out on believers that they might have power to be witnesses. The evidence of the infilling of the Holy Spirit, which is promised of the Father, is the physical sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

The Church consists of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. The Church is the Body of Christ, the dwelling place and home of God through the Spirit. The Church exists to carry on the ministry of Jesus Christ and further His kingdom by undoing the works of the enemy; preaching and living the good news of God’s love; disciple the nations; and baptizing and teaching them to love and obey God.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and unsaved. Heaven and Hell are real places. That if they are saved unto the resurrection of life, and if they are unsaved unto the resurrection of damnation.

The Lord’s Supper is an ordinance of the Church symbolizing the broken body and the shed blood of Jesus Christ as the new covenant between God and man. Communion is open to everyone who has made Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior of their life.

It is of the utmost importance that we educate ourselves according to the Word of God so that we may live according to His precepts and ways. That we may be equipped not only to walk worthy of our vocation and/or calling, but to also be a living example of Jesus. To be equipped to fulfill the great commission and to walk in the demonstration of His authority and power.

Vision Statement

Our vision at The ROCK Church School of Ministry is to build an army of mature believers. These believers will be fully equipped in faith, love, healing, redemption, and righteousness so that they are leaders in God’s revival movement upon the earth. These leaders will be committed to the preparation it takes to effectively carry forward the life changing Word of God.

We are committed to teaching the uncompromising Word of God through a variety of mediums and mechanisms, such as:

  1. Campus classroom settings;
  2. The Internet with on line studies;
  3. Web cam seminars and video conferencing;
  4. Fast track courses on campus, as well as through the use of CD’s and DVD’s.

The ROCK Church School of Ministry will put into action what is learned through life application practicums, developing outreaches in various areas, assisting other ministries, and assisting you to develop the vision that God has birthed in you. The ROCK Church School of Ministry will aid in the development of a team of leaders who will take the “Preaching, Teaching, Healing” message to the world. The ROCK Church School of Ministry will develop healing teams, establish healing rooms, and hold healing meetings. We will become a school of “Proclamation and Demonstration.” Proclaiming God’s life changing and uncompromising Word, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, demonstrating and confirming His Word by miracles, signs, and wonders.
